Welcome to River View Guest House. By making a reservation or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your booking.

1. Booking and Reservations

1.1 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation via email, SMS, or WhatsApp from River View Guest House. All reservations are subject to availability and acceptance by management.

1.2 Advance Payment

To secure your reservation, an advance payment may be required at the time of booking. The amount and payment terms will be communicated during the booking process.

1.3 Booking Modifications

Requests to modify bookings (dates, room type, number of guests) are subject to availability and must be made at least 48 hours before check-in. Additional charges may apply.

2. Check-In and Check-Out

2.1 Check-In Time

Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Guests are required to present valid government-issued photo identification upon check-in.

2.2 Check-Out Time

Standard check-out time is 12:00 PM (Noon). Late check-out is subject to availability and may be charged at an hourly rate or full day rate depending on departure time.

2.3 Identification Requirements

As per government regulations, all guests must provide valid identification documents including:

• Passport (for international guests)
• Aadhaar Card, Driving License, or Voter ID (for Indian nationals)
• Any other government-issued photo ID

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

• Cash (Indian Rupees)
• Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
• UPI and Digital Wallets
• Bank Transfer (for advance bookings)

3.2 Pricing

All rates are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are subject to applicable taxes. Rates may vary based on season, demand, and length of stay. The rate applicable at the time of booking will be honored.

3.3 Additional Charges

Charges not included in room rates may include but are not limited to:

• Extra person charges
• Room service and food orders
• Damage or loss of property
• Early check-in or late check-out fees
• Special service requests

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Cancellation by Guest

• 48+ hours before check-in: Full refund minus processing fee (if applicable)
• 24-48 hours before check-in: 50% refund of total booking amount
• Less than 24 hours or No-show: No refund

4.2 Cancellation by Management

River View Guest House reserves the right to cancel bookings in cases of force majeure, property maintenance emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, guests will receive a full refund of all payments made.

4.3 Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.

5. Guest Conduct and House Rules

5.1 General Conduct

Guests are expected to:

• Maintain peaceful and respectful behavior towards other guests and staff
• Keep noise levels reasonable, especially during quiet hours (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Not engage in illegal activities or possess prohibited substances
• Not bring unauthorized guests into the premises
• Comply with all safety and security procedures

5.2 Smoking Policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside rooms and common indoor areas. Designated smoking areas are available. Violation may result in cleaning charges.

5.3 Visitors Policy

Visitors must be registered at the front desk and are allowed only in common areas or guest rooms during specific hours (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM). Overnight visitors are not permitted without prior approval and additional charges.

5.4 Pets Policy

Pets are generally not allowed unless specifically authorized by management. Service animals are welcome with proper documentation.

6. Liability and Responsibility

6.1 Property Damage

Guests are responsible for any damage to property, furniture, fixtures, or equipment during their stay. Charges for repairs or replacement will be applied to the guest’s account.

6.2 Personal Belongings

River View Guest House is not responsible for loss or damage to guests’ personal belongings, valuables, or vehicles. We recommend using in-room safes for valuable items.

6.3 Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power failures, or third-party actions.

7. Security and Safety

7.1 Room Security

Guests must ensure their rooms are locked when leaving. Room keys/cards must be returned at check-out. Lost keys will incur replacement charges.

7.2 Emergency Procedures

Emergency exits and fire safety equipment locations are marked throughout the property. Guests must familiarize themselves with evacuation procedures upon check-in.

7.3 CCTV Surveillance

Common areas are monitored by CCTV cameras for security purposes. Footage is retained as per legal requirements and privacy laws.

8. Right to Refuse Service

River View Guest House reserves the right to refuse service or terminate accommodation without refund if:

• Guests violate house rules or terms of service
• Guests engage in illegal or inappropriate conduct
• Guests fail to provide valid identification
• There are concerns about safety and security

9. Force Majeure

River View Guest House shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, strikes, or civil disturbances.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Panipat, Haryana.

11. Modifications to Terms

River View Guest House reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

12. Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions, along with our Privacy Policy and Cancellation Policy, constitute the entire agreement between guests and River View Guest House regarding the use of our services.
